A little note about Carola Van Dyke……

17th August 2015 @ 21:59

One of my first influences in creating the Shave Green Style was Carola Van Dyke, her exciting and eclectic cushions inspired my use of colour in Shave Green and they have continued to be central to our style.   Carola uses a mix of vintage and modern fabric, rather like the way we mix our vintage furniture, curiosities and new exciting homeware.

‘Influenced by a passion for colour, which stems from her childhood in the Netherlands, the designs are something unique and special. As a child growing up with mismatches of colourful clothes, made by her mother and grandmother, and a feel for strong Dutch design, the craving for mixing bold colours was a natural way of thinking when it comes to her designs. Exuberant & vibrant in style, using hand picked textiles, they are all individualy handmade in Britain.’ By Carola Van DykeHighland cattle
